Insurance Customer Service Representative – Remote

Full-Time | State Farm Agency | Keene, NH

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, organized Customer Service Representative to join our established State Farm agency in a fully remote position.

Our agency serves over 2,500 households and has a knowledgeable team with extensive State Farm experience and established service processes. We are also temporarily servicing a State Farm TASP office in Concord, NH, through February 1, 2027. This position will assist with both offices during that transition but will stay with the legacy office.

This role focuses on Beginning of Day (BOD) activities, daily policy servicing, billing, claims follow-up, and incoming phone support. You'll also identify additional customer needs and refer opportunities to our production team.

We need someone who takes ownership, works independently, and delivers accurate, efficient customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & BOD

  • Review and process service tasks, notifications, and pending cases.

  • Monitor policy issuance, underwriting requests, and missing documentation.

  • Manage billing reminders, cancellation warnings, and payment follow-up.

  • Review policy changes, discounts, and account updates.

  • Maintain organized task queues and timely follow-through.

Policy Service & Customer Support

  • Process vehicle additions/replacements, driver changes, and coverage updates.

  • Handle address changes, lienholders, renters changes, and routine transactions.

  • Assist with billing, payments, and account inquiries.

  • Follow up on underwriting requirements and outstanding requests.

  • Assist with Drive Safe & Save enrollment.

  • Identify additional insurance and financial services needs and refer opportunities to producers.

Phone Support & Claims

  • Answer incoming calls and resolve routine service requests.

  • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and text.

  • Document interactions and coordinate with team members.

  • Proactively follow up on claims and help customers connect with claims representatives.

  • Escalate customer concerns when appropriate.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license.

  • Extensive State Farm agency experience, including systems, workflows, and service operations.

  • Experience with BOD, policy servicing, and customer follow-up.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment.

  • Dependability, accountability, and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to recognize customer needs and referral opportunities.

Highly Preferred:

  • Active Life & Health insurance license.

  • Experience with State Farm Modernization and State Farm Billing.

  • Proficiency with ECRM and policy transactions.

  • Experience handling cancellations, underwriting requirements, and billing issues.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience.

  • Employer-provided health insurance.

  • Retirement plan with employer matching.

  • Three weeks of paid PTO starting in year one.

  • Paid company holidays.

  • Professional training and development.

  • An experienced, supportive team with established processes.

Who Will Succeed?

You're organized, dependable, and take pride in getting things done right. You enjoy helping customers, solving problems, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

You'll join an experienced team that values collaboration, accountability, and exceptional service.
